FLAAR+BGSU visit to Xerox in Rochester, NY

Several staff members from BGSU attended the strategy meeting in Rochester. From BGSU, Joe Catalano, Dr. Mark Bennion, and Ryan Crist. From FLAAR+BGSU, Nicholas Hellmuth and Sheila Irving attended as well. FLAAR+BGSU is continuing to work on a collaborative relationship with Xerox to benefit both the university as well as the students. Below are photos of the event.

The showroom at the Gil Hatch Center featured two iGen3 Digital presses as well as several other color and black and white printers.   Above, Nicholas Hellmuth and Mark Gwaltney from Xerox review the prints from the Xerox iGen3.

Since the original negatives and transparencies were shot with a Leica, Hasselblad or 4x5 Linhof, we are looking for a digital printer that can handle this quality. The Xerox iGen3 surprised all of us with its capabilities.   Representatives from FLAAR+BGSU and Xerox analyze how the quality of the iGen3 can reproduce images from the FLAAR Photo Archive. The Xerox iGen3 did especially well with B&W as well as color.
